When this house tour landed on my Houzz desk at late last year, along with a nice email from Hannah introducing her company and her blog, I was really excited to set up a Houzz Tour and share it with you. It’s the South London home of blogger and vintage furniture magpie Hannah Russell of Layer and Hannah has taken an ‘ugly duckling’ 1980s house with a teeny-tiny back garden and totally transformed it into a light and airy home with the most creative outdoor space I’ve seen in a while. It has a great (and I mean great) set of ‘before’ photos – the transformation is pretty incredible. When Hannah told me she completed the entire redesign in 7 weeks I almost fell off my chair – I took 18 months to do my own home makeover. Scroll down to the end to see a couple of the before photos to get a sense of how much work Hannah did to the house.
Talking to Hannah about her home I loved the passion she had for her business and blog and also loved that it’s a family business (she runs Layer with her mum Denise). The interview and full house tour with Hannah are now live on Houzz and if you leave a comment saying what you love about it you can win this fab vase from West Elm. Take a browse of some of the photos below and enjoy (there’s a slideshow of the feature at the end). Thank you Hannah for letting me showcase your home on Houzz. See Hannah & Denise’s website here.
